Parish Council Statement on Water Issues, Broadband Connection & Road Closures

The Parish Council acknowledges the significant disruption currently affecting residents, including unannounced road closures, repeated interruptions to Anglian Water supply, concerns regarding water billing, and recent broadband failures.

Where notice of road closures is provided to us, we will continue to publish updates in this group and issue reminders the day before. In cases where no notice is given, we are contacting the relevant organisations to request improved communication and to ensure that simultaneous closures of multiple access routes do not occur.

Regarding broadband outages, we are monitoring the situation and feeding back concerns as they arise.

For the ongoing Anglian Water problems, the Parish Council is arranging a meeting with Anglian Water to discuss the repeated interruptions and the concerns around billing. In addition, Sarah Bool MP is organising an open meeting for residents. Once a date is confirmed, we will circulate it here so everyone has the opportunity to attend.

We want to emphasise that the Parish Council is doing everything within its remit to support the village through these challenges. If you have suggestions for further actions we could take, we would be grateful to hear them.
